Lucia Unrau is a pianist who combines a dazzling technique with the musicality of a poet. In demand for her interpretation of 20th century American composers, she is equally at ease with music from the Baroque, classical and Romantic periods. The Keyboard Coordinator at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp, Dr. Unrau also serves as the Chair of the Division of Communication and Fine Arts and chair of the Music Department at Bluffton University, Bluffton, Ohio. Ohio Magazine’s December 2013 Excellence in Education issue recognized Perry Bush, Jeff Gundy and Lucia Unrau in its “Memorable Educators” special section that is distributed to 356,000 people. Bluffton’s faculty members were three of the 54 professors from public and private institutions in the state selected by Ohio Magazine for recognition in 2013.
